about neuromuscular cupping therapy

hi, i'm gretchen, and i teach cupping

therapy in a very different way.

NeuroCupping is where massage therapists and manual practitioners learn effective, clinical cupping methods that resolve

chronic pain patterns, and work with special populations like post-surgical clients, TMJ pain, and athlets.

Less protocol-following. More clinical reasoning.

Nervous system-first pain work that sticks.

Better outcomes without burning your hands (or your nervous system)

MY MISSION

I'm here to raise the standard of cupping education, so that skilled practitioners can stop adding cups willy-nilly to their sessions

and hoping for the best, and start using it as an intelligent, adaptable tool for real pain relief.

I was the student who kept asking "Yeah, but WHY?" and Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy was borne out of searching for those

answers, even after taking every Cupping Training I could find.

Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy can help you adapt your unique skills to support your average client experiencing chronic pain,

as well as for the people who require more nuance: post-surgical bodies, TMJ patterns, athletic demands, and complex pain

presentations that don't respond to generic protocols.

how neurocupping happened

I was introduced to cupping therapy early on and trained personally by a physical therapist. I was hooked.

Then I did what any obsessed bodyworker does: I took every cupping training I could find.

And honestly... most of them taught the same surface-level information. Protocols without depth. Steps without the "why".

I came from a rigorous orthopedic and sport bodywork background (1,000-hour program + AOS at the Boulder College of

Massage Therapy). I expected anatomy, physiology, and reasoning, especially in the "advanced" Cupping trainings. It wasn't there.

So I kept learning. I trained in more specialized non-cupping methods, then brought cupping into those frameworks.

That's when the magic happened: clients I'd worked with for years started having breakthroughs they never expected, not because I learned a new cup trick, but because I learned how to approach the applications differently.

I build a system that helped the practitioners I trained in my own clinic implement cupping with the same results, and I perfected this in-house training over three years.

When COVID shut our doors, I brought the training online so more practitioners could learn a method that's actually effective and empowering. The rest is history!

what makes neuromuscular cupping therapy different than any other cupping therapy training?

Most cupping education teaches cookie-cutter protocols. I teach practitioners how to understand what's happening so you can adapt this work to any body, any pain pattern, any session. You can even apply this approach without cups to give your clients incredible results.

And the best part: it fits right inside the amazing work you're already providing.

Clinical reasoning over scripts: You'll learn the physiology and decision-making behind why cupping works, not just how to place cups.

Adaptable to real humans: When you can understand the "why", you can apply cupping to the clients you actually see, not just the demo body in a training video.

Pain science + neuromuscular roots: This work is grounded in classic neuromuscular therapy and modern pain science, because pain is not purely mechanical, and your results improve when you stop treating it like it is.

Practitioner empowerment: My goal is for you to complete this training confident, skilled, and able to integrate this into your existing style, not replace who you are as a practitioner.

the five pillars you'll see in every

neurocupping training

Nervous system-first: because pain is in the brain, and this key is perhaps the one which unlocks the best results for your clients.

Pain patterns: so you can stop chasing symptoms and start finding the root cause.

Client communication: because buy-in, safety, and clarity are a crucial part of the process.

Movement integration: because lasting results often require the body to use the change you created.

Clinical reasoning: so you can make smart choices in real time, not memorize protocols.

this is for you if...

• You work with clients in chronic pain and wants a system that creates better results

• You want to feel confident working with special populations (post-surgery, TMJ, athletes, complex pain patterns)

• You're done guessing and ready to understand what you're doing and why

• You want to increase results and protect your longevity as a practitioner

this is not for you if...

• You want copy-and-paste protocols without understanding the reasoning

• You want to offer guarantees or promise outcomes (I don't teach that, and ethical practitioners don't do it)

• You're not interested in learning pain science, client psychology, and real clinical decision-making
