"Do I need to have taken NCT first?"
NCT is not a strict prerequisite, but it is recommended. The scar tissue and pain pattern work in this course builds naturally on the NCT framework, and students who have completed NCT will find this course integrates seamlessly with how they already think about client sessions. If you haven't taken NCT yet, you'll still get tremendous value here, especially with a foundational understanding of cupping already in place.
"I'm new to cupping — can I take this course?"
We recommend having some foundational cupping training before diving in. You don't need to be an expert, but familiarity with basic safety protocols, contraindications, and equipment hygiene will help you get the most out of this material and work safely with post-surgical clients. If you're brand new to cupping, starting with an introductory course first is the right move.
"Will the lymph section make me a lymphatic drainage specialist?"
No, and we want to be upfront about that. Shelby's section gives you essential foundational awareness of lymphatic flow, post-surgical modifications, and contraindications like lymphedema. It's designed to make you a safer, more informed practitioner, not to replace specialist-level MLD training. If your clients need dedicated lymphatic drainage work, referring to a certified specialist is still the right call.
"What equipment do I need?"
This course focuses on glass bulb cup techniques. If you already have bulb cups, you're ready to go.
"How do the CE credits work?"
This course is approved for 2 Home Study CE credits through NCBTMB. You'll complete a quiz at the end to earn your certificate. It is your responsibility to confirm your governing body accepts home study CEs from NCBTMB. This course is not listed on CE Broker or other organizations outside of NCBTMB.
"How long do I have access?"
